Italy Honeymoon: Bespoke Romantic Journeys

Italy honeymoon packages typically range from €3,000 to €12,000 per person for 7-14 days, depending on season and accommodation. Most couples book 6-9 months ahead for peak season.

Honeymoon Tours in Italy

There’s a reason couples have been honeymooning in Italy for generations, nowhere else combines romance, beauty, and incredible food quite like this. We design honeymoons that go beyond the usual highlights: think private dinners in hidden courtyards, a sunset boat ride where it’s just the two of you, or waking up in a Tuscan villa with nothing planned except a long lunch at a vineyard down the road. Our team lives here, knows every corner, and handles the logistics so you can simply enjoy being newlyweds. No group tours. No cookie-cutter itineraries. Just your trip, your way.

Why Honeymoon in Italy?

Honestly? Because it just works.

There’s nowhere else where you can watch the sun go down over Venice, spend the next morning on a private boat along the Amalfi Coast, and end the week in a farmhouse somewhere in Tuscany with a bottle of wine and nowhere to be. Italy does romance without trying.

The food is better than anywhere you’ve eaten. The pace makes sense. Italians figured out a long time ago that life is meant to be enjoyed slowly. And then there are the small things: a nonna waving from her doorway, a piazza you stumble onto by accident, the light in Florence around 5pm.

We’ve helped over 500 couples start their married life here. They all say the same thing when they get back: better than they imagined.

My experience with this travel agent was superb! Our agent and his team exceeded my expectations. Communication was prompt and responsive and every detail was well thought out and organized. Being new to Italy, we really appreciated our travel agent's insight and suggestions as he helped us tweak our itinerary to exactly what we wanted. He took into account things that weren't immediately obvious to us, like weather, traffic conditions, and local business operations during the holiday month for most Italians.
I really loved that the only thing I had to worry about was buying our plane tickets. Literally, our travel agent and this company took care of every detail afterwards. We just hopped on the flight to Italy and were met every step of the way by friendly and knowledgeable people at every transfer, connection, and tour.
I would gladly work with this company again in the future and have already strongly recommended them to my colleagues.

We had a wonderful family vacation in Venice, Tuscan countryside, and Florence. They did a great job organizing our transportation, hotels, and a number of activities. The transportation help really cut down on stressful travel days and allowed us to relax. Our trip planner was very responsive and helpful over the whole course of our vacation. Can’t wait to go back!

Moreno and his team put together a wonderful and luxurious experience for me. It was arranged including small details and fun surprises, like they knew me personally. It was an amazing experience, one that I will never forget. He made my first trip to Italy a perfect experience and I knew it would not be my last trip. I have told my friends and associates, Italy Charme is the way to truly feel Italy.

ItalyCharme created the itinerary for my first holiday trip to Italy, last month. They really exceeded my expectations!! The hotels were all great, the (private) excursions were excellently organized and provided authentic experiences of the most beautiful corners of Italy. Exactly where we were looking for. All drivers and guides were super friendly and enabling us to enjoy fully our trips. I recommend everyone to use this local agency to organize your Italy trip. By the way, they are located in Italy, and the owner is always available for any questions.

What We Do Differently for Honeymooners?

We’ve planned over 500 honeymoons, so we know what matters. The room with the best view, not just “a nice room.” The restaurant where they’ll make a fuss over you because we called ahead. The little surprises: a bottle of prosecco waiting, a sunset timed just right.

You’ll have our number for anything, but you probably won’t need it. We’ve already thought of the details you haven’t.

Romantic Experiences We Love to Arrange

These aren’t your typical tourist activities. They’re the kind of moments you’ll still be talking about on your 10th anniversary.

Venice

Ride on gondolas along the Gand Canal in Venice, Italy

Skip the crowded Grand Canal. We know the gondoliers who take the back routes, quieter canals where you’ll barely see another soul. Time it right and the whole city turns gold. Explore Venice →

Florence

Spend an afternoon in a historic perfume atelier learning to blend scents together. You’ll each leave with a custom fragrance, a pretty good souvenir, if you ask us. Explore Florence →

Florence

Tuscany

Tuscany

Learn to make pasta from scratch in a farmhouse kitchen. Your teacher has probably been doing this since before you were born. Then eat everything you made, obviously. Explore Tuscany →

Amalfi Coast

Your own boat, your own captain, a cooler full of drinks, and an entire coastline from Sorrento to Positano to explore. Stop in Capri for lunch, discover hidden beaches. Usually everyone’s favorite day. Plan your Amalfi honeymoon →

Honeymoon in Italy: Your Questions Answered

How much does a 10-day honeymoon in Italy cost?

A luxury 10-day Italy honeymoon typically costs €5,000-10,000 per person, including 4-5 star hotels, private transfers, and curated experiences. Budget options exist for less, but you’d miss what makes Italy special, the private tastings, the rooms with views, the dinners worth remembering. For a once-in-a-lifetime trip, we think it’s worth doing properly.

When is the best time to visit Italy for a honeymoon?

Late September is our top pick: warm weather, harvest season in wine country, and summer crowds gone. April-May is lovely too, everything blooming, outdoor dining starting up. Avoid August if possible, many Italians take holiday, some restaurants close, and it’s peak tourist season everywhere.

How far in advance should we book an Italy honeymoon?

For peak season (May-June, September), start planning 6-9 months ahead. The best boutique hotels and experiences book up fast, especially in places like Positano and Lake Como. Shoulder season gives you more flexibility, 3-4 months is usually enough.

Where are the best places for a honeymoon in Italy?

The Amalfi Coast tops most lists, Positano and Ravello are impossibly romantic. Tuscany offers wine country charm with rolling hills and private villas. Venice is iconic for a reason. Lake Como feels like old Hollywood glamour. Our most popular honeymoons combine 2-3 of these, spending 3-4 nights in each rather than rushing through.

Is Italy a good honeymoon destination?

Italy is consistently ranked the world’s top honeymoon destination, and having planned 500+ honeymoons here, we understand why. No other country combines world-class food, stunning scenery, rich culture, and genuine romance quite like this. The only downside? Every trip after feels like a comparison.

Can you help plan a proposal in Italy?

We’ve arranged dozens of proposals, private terraces overlooking the Amalfi Coast, gondola rides timed to sunset, vineyard picnics with hidden photographers. Tell us your vision (or let us suggest something), and we’ll handle every detail. These tend to be our favorite trips to plan.

Testimonials For Italy Charme

Moreno answered his phone at 10pm Italian time when our flight got cancelled. Had a new plan sorted before we landed. That’s when we realized we’d made the right choice.

Emily & David, San Francisco | Tuscany & Rome, October 2025

The room they got us in Venice had a view we’d never have known to ask for. The gondolier took us through back canals we didn’t know existed. Every detail handled. We just showed up and enjoyed being married.

Michelle & Ryan, Chicago | Venice & Lake Como, June 2025
