Two private weeks through Venice, Florence, Rome and the Amalfi Coast, with time in each place instead of a race between them: three nights in Venice, three in Florence, four in Rome and three on the coast.

You arrive in Venice and fly home from Naples, so you never travel back on yourself. Between the cities you take the high-speed train in first class, with a driver waiting at each station. In the countryside and on the coast, a private driver takes over.

Each part of the trip has a private experience: a gondola workshop in Venice, a day in the Chianti hills, the Vatican and the Colosseum with a private guide, a foraging and cooking day on the Amalfi Coast and a boat day to Capri. Arrival in Venice

Welcome to Venice. At Marco Polo airport, a private water taxi takes you across the lagoon to your hotel, about 30 minutes. Keep the first afternoon light after the flight. In the evening, walk to Cannaregio for cicchetti in a bacaro, the small wine bars where Venetians stop on the way home.
