The Experience

You get the keys to a restored 1960s Fiat 500 or Alfa Romeo Spider. We give you a route through Chianti. The rest is up to you.

Vineyard roads. Stone villages. That cypress avenue everyone photographs. Stop when you want, stay as long as you feel like it. Around midday you pull into a family vineyard for wine and lunch. Afternoon, more villages: Radda, Volpaia, Panzano. Back to Florence when the light gets golden.

Not a bus tour. Not a guided experience. Just you, the car, and Tuscany.

The cars belong to Giuseppe. He’s been restoring vintage Fiats outside Florence for thirty years. Rent through an agency and you get a car and a map. Book through us and Giuseppe meets you himself. Shows you the gearbox quirks. Adjusts your mirrors. Makes sure you actually know how to drive the thing before you leave his courtyard.

The vineyard where you stop for lunch? Not on any tour circuit. It’s where I buy wine for my own family. Stefano, the owner, doesn’t do tastings for tourists. He does them for friends. You eat at his kitchen table.

Something goes wrong? Flat tire, wrong turn, whatever. You call me. My number’s on your route sheet. I know every road out there. Giuseppe can reach you in under an hour if needed.

When to Book

April through June. September and October. Those are the good months. Mild, not too crowded, harvest season in fall.

Summer works but it’s hot. We’d start you early if that’s your only window.
