Gourmet Le Marche & Truffle Hunting from €1900 / per person

When you visit Le Marche you will inevitably be struck by the wonderful bucolic landscape, the rich
cultural heritage, the historic architecture and the quality of the local produce.

But we would like to help you get under Le Marche’s skin, meeting local artisans and experiencing the true rural life. The economy of the region has traditionally been based on agriculture and the fantastic products made by local artisans. Most of these artisans work for small family businesses that have handed down skills from one generation to the next, many still work by hand and, despite the demands of the global marketplace, there is still relatively little mechanization.

With the help of our friends who were born and raised in the area and are extremely passionate about the environment and the traditional Le Marche way of life we are pleased to offer you activities such hunting for truffles and witnessing how local delicacies are produced as well as tasting them to allow you to experience and better understand why life here has remained unchanged for centuries.

Welcome to Urbino, Le Marche

A representative will meet you at Bologna airport for a private transfer to the medieval walled city of Urbino in le Marche. En route, we will stop in the mountainous microstate of San Marino for lunch and a rest, before continuing on to Urbino where you will check into your hotel before dinner and your first chance to taste the local truffles.

Le Marche truffle hunt, lunch in osteria and cheese tasting

We meet a local truffle hunter and his dog for a lovely country walk in the woods and to find the prize white truffles the region is so famous for. You will learn on the job from someone so experienced and passionate about this ancient way of life that the experience will be one to remember for a long time. Lunch will be taken at a local restaurant in the small village of Acqualagna that specialises in regional dishes using the best local ingredients. After lunch its time to visit the Beltrini family that produce some of the best artisan cheeses and olive oils in le Marche to sample the real flavour of the land

Free time in Acqualagna

Free time to explore the quaint walled city of Urbina and the truffle capital of the world Acqualagna. In autumn Acqualagna plays host to the Fiera Nazionale del Tartufo Bianco or National White Truffle Fair. We highly recommend you time your visit with the fair which we can help arrange for you

Return transfer to Bologna

After breakfast, it is time to check out of your hotel and transfer to Bologna for a night in the self-proclaimed capital of Italian food! here you have free time to explore the historic city and eat some of it renowned restaurants
