Start with two days Sorrento, a sublime old-world city along the coast. Take a first-class train then bask in the grandeur of Rome, from the world-famous landmarks to the streets that delight in their originality. It all makes for a wonderful glimpse into old Italy’s heart.
All our tours are individually customized to your interests. This day to day program was designed for previous guests of Italy Charme. While we loved guiding this private tour, it is purely an example of what can be possible and we will tailor your day to day program to your interests.
Day 1 – Sorrento
Departing directly from your cruise ship at Civitavecchia, take a Private Car Transfer to a centrally located hotel where you will be staying for two-nights in a room with sea-view and balcony (bed and breakfast basis). During your transfer you will enjoy a 2-hour stopover at Pompeii to visit the excavations with a local English speaking guide (entrance fees to be paid locally). Rest of the day at your leisure.
Day 2 – Sorrento

Day 3 – Rome
Take a private Transfer to Naples railway station to travel in first-class reserved seats.
Upon arrival at Rome’s Termini Station you will have a private car transfer to the centrally located hotel, where you will stay in a standard classic double room (bed and breakfast basis) for three-nights. Rest of the Day at your leisure.
Day 4 – Rome
Enjoy our small group walking tour of Ancient Rome (maximum 12/14-people). One of our expert guides will lead you on a fascinating stroll through the ruins of the Ancient Roman Forum, Palatine Hill and the Colosseum where you’ll skip the long lines to enjoy a full tour of the interior of Rome’s most famous landmark.
In the early afternoon you will take a small group tour of the Vatican (maximum 12/14-people) with one of our expert guides lasting four-hours and including tickets and reservations so you can avoid standing in line to see the Sistine Chapel & St. Peters Basilica as well as other must-see sights of the Vatican.
Day 5 – Rome
A day at your leisure to further explore the city.
